Salome
In Autumn 2015, I published a fully illustrated edition of Oscar Wilde’s Salome – but with a few changes. In my edition, Salome is a boy, and Herod – to keep the gender balance of characters fair – is a woman. This allows the reader to explore more interesting power dynamics within the text, as well as representing a few more forms of attraction than previously. As usual with my work, some of the characters are transgender. This does not affect the text.
